Miller Fire in Trinity County Grows to 20+ Acres

The Miller Fire is burning in steep, brushy terrain between South Fork Mountain and the South Fork of the Trinity River near Forest Road 1N24. The fire was started by lightning on June 9th, and has short range spotting occurring in brush & timber. The fire is currently 20 acres
Resources are using dozers and hand line in a full suppression strategy. According to Shasta-Trinity National Forest, crews are using adjusting tactics with hazardous snags for firefighter safety.
