Reading Fire Conditions

The Reading Fire is currently burning in Trinity County, California near Douglas City on Reading Creek Road. As of June 8th, 2025 at 9:19 p.m. PDT, the fire has spanned approximately 80 acres in mountainous terrain, and was reported to have a moderate rate of spread with short range spot fires occurring. Some evacuation warnings have been issued for Zones TRI-DUG-258 and TRI-DUG-260 and all aircraft have been released for the night. A night-flying helicopter has been requested.
